Our First Easter

We celebrated our first Easter this year. We had so much fun with Channing an his first Easter basket. Will and Lenora were also here t celebrate with us and we enjoyed having them with us very much. Chan Chan was very eager to see what the Easter Bunny brough him.

He got some awesome new shades and some hand knitted Easter eggs from CJ's grandmother.

Channing also got some baby crocs, which he promptly put in his mouth to chew on. He got some new pacifiers and a hand woven bunny.

As you can see, he was all about getting to his Easter goodies. He was grunting until he was able to gt his chubby little hands on anything in the basket.

This is the Easter Bunny that Lenora and Will got him. They also got him a Peter Rabbit book to go with it. It was a great first holiday and we can't wait for next year.

Fun at the Circus

So we decided to take Channing to the circus when it came to town. I think it was more for us, but the baby was a great excuse to go. He liked the bright lights and the colors, but other than that I don't think he cared one way or the other. They wouldn't let us take him on an elephant or camel ride, but we had plenty of fun nonetheless. We did get this great picture with one of the clowns though.......

5 Months old!

Woo-hoo, we made it to 5 months with relative ease! We are so happy to have daddy home, the extra hands are a blessing! Chan the man is about to start level 2 foods, bring on the hawaiin delight and chicken with gravy (can't wait for those diapers!). Little man is getting so big. I would guess that he's pushing 19 pounds or so, considering he was almost 18 lbs at his 4 month appointment. He's almost fully into 9 month clothes and I am able to find such cute little outfits for him now. We are readjusting to having CJ home, but I think he's getting more and more comfortable with him. I think CJ is just so silly that Channing just adores him. He's really starting to pay attention and soak up everything around him. He's grabbing dog ears and tails now, much to the dismay of Reese, Tucker and Saban. He's always tryng to sit up if he's laying down, and as soon as we lay him on a blanket he rolls over to his tummy. He's starting to lift his little butt and pull his knees forward in an effort to crawl, so that is exciting. He can generally kick and wiggle enough to rotate himself until he's facing whatever he's playing with. Channing absolutely loves Jack's Big Music Show and Pinkydinkydoo. He's also getting very talkative and his little facial expressions are a riot. It's so sweet to hear him talking to his frog that we have hanging on his carseat. If he's not reaching or grabbing at something, those little hands are in his mouth. We can feel the two little bumps where those bottom teeth are starting to come in. Other then that, we are learning new stuff together everyday, and just enjoying our little boy.

We took his onsie off and it got caught on his head, so CJ grabbed the camera and was able to get a few cute pictures.

He's such a little ham!

He's having a great time playing with his daddy.

These are some cute pictures I took of my boys playing together the weekend CJ got home, as well as the picture of them napping together at the top.

Welcome Home Daddy!

Channing finally got to meet his daddy on Saturday morning at 1 am. This is a picture of him right before CJ walked through the hangar doors to meet us. I had to wake Channing up 4 times to make sure he was awake to meet CJ when he finally got to the hangar.

Poor baby, it was so cold and he was so so sleepy, but he was a little trooper and didn't fuss at all.

When CJ finally got to hold him, he was all smiles and coos for his daddy. It made me so happy to watch CJ get to hold his baby boy for the first time.

Channing went right to his daddy, no crying or fussing. We are so glad to have CJ home safe and with his family. I will post some more pictures of the two of them playing later this week. Welcome Home Daddy!!!!!!

Fun on the swingset

So this was Channing's first time in a swing or on any swingset for that matter. He absolutely loved the swing, especially when I grabbed his feet. He didn't quite know what to think about the slide though. It was a fun fun time and we can't wait to go play with Daddy next time.

4 Months Old!!!!!

So Mr. Channing is getting to be a big boy. He went to his 4 month appointment on Wednesday and the doctor said he is a wonderfully healthy baby boy. Channing weighs 17 lbs 9.3 oz, 26 inches long, and he is developing very well. He's up to five 8 oz bottles and three jars of food a day. We are up peas, applesauce, bananas, and squash now and he loves all of them.

We just got him his first jumper, so we are having some fun with that. He can reach the ground if he's on his tip toes, but he likes the music and colors nonetheless. He laughs so frequently now and absolutely loves the dogs. He's grabbing for stuff now, making it difficult to wear my hair down, earrings, or necklaces. He can consistently roll from his tummy to his back. He's able to roll over halfway when he's on his back, but still working on getting all the way over to his tummy. He gets to meet his daddy in 3 weeks so we are excited about that!

I'm just getting into this blogging thing, so I will make a better effort to keep everyone updated on Channing.

Channing goes bananas!

So today was Channing's first try at level 1 food. We started out with bananas and mixed them with cereal. The look on his face when he got a good taste was priceless!

He quickly got the hang of eating with a spoon and barely spit any out. It went suprisingly well for our first time. Once he got a good taste of the bananas, he got angry at mt me if I didn't give him another bite soon enough. He is such a little piglet!

Overall, we did well. He ate cereal and bananas twice today and finished off an entire jar. Next week we will try squash. More pictures soon to come!
